Fashion lovers describe the Chicwish collection of party-style dresses and outfits as shimmering with elegance and elegance. And with the arrival of the 2023 holiday season, you’ll be able to find your look at affordable prices.
In my first collaboration with Chicwish back in 2020, I received an array of styles for fall and winter which included pieces to wear on special occasions. My focus was getting pieces that are versatile and practical, meaning, I could wear them on different occasions, not just formal events. Once I was comfortable with the size and quality of the clothes, it was time to move forward with testing Chicwish party-style gowns and cocktail pieces.
This season, Chicwish gifted me samples from their party and formal collection including 2 floor-length dresses and a pearl-beaded two-piece ensemble. I usually don’t wear floor-length gown dresses but I was very curious about the quality and make of Chicwish party-style dresses. The first dress that looks like a mermaid would wear is a one-shoulder sequined dress with dazzling multi-color effects. It has a little stretch feature with standard sizing. There was no doubt in mind that this dress would mesmerize all partygoers.
What do you think of the sequin dress?
The second full-length dress is a deep red which comes in black, white, and deep green. This dress is a reminiscence of old Hollywood glam. It features a delicate crystal pin on one hip, gathered fabric on the same side, and a long slit along the thigh. The fabric is more stretchy than the sequin dress allowing for more comfortable and less restrictive wear than a full satin dress that could wrinkle fast and feel snug.
When to wear full-length gowns
When we think of gowns, we instantly associate them with wedding parties. However, there are several functions you can wear a full-length gown like:
- Formal dinners
- Opera and theatre premieres
- Formal dances
- Charity balls
- Official state dinners
- Galas
- Black-tie and white-tie events

Cocktail and party dresses
If full-length gowns aren’t your cup of tea, you can wear cocktail dresses (party dresses) or two-piece ensembles with embellishments, tulle, silk, satin, and jacquard fabrics. These are some of my favourite looks to wear this holiday season.
