There’s nothing wrong with being a smart shopper especially with the recent rise in prices and inflation. The reality is we all need to manage our finances regarding how much we have. And as I grow older, I began to question why we’re paying insane prices on luxury and designer items. As much as I appreciate the effort made in designing high-end fashion, I can’t justify blowing thousands of dollars each season – and there are 4 seasons per year. Therefore, sometimes I cheat and shop cheaply. Let me re-phrase it, I shop bargains. And why not? So I decided to give AliExpress shopping a chance to rectify its reputation.
I’ve known about AliExpress for a while and heard positive and negative feedback about this mega shopping site. Therefore, until recently, I hesitated to order anything from the retailers because I questioned the quality and credibility. One day, I realized that many of the products listed on AliExpress are sold in North America under different business names, including Amazon! With the expansion of online shopping, some businesses found a smart way to sell online via dropshipping or wholesale. However, there was a price disparity. AliExpress listed prices are lower, and we’re paying $$ more for the same item when buying from a North American store. It didn’t make any sense to pay more for an “unnecessity,” and that’s when my AliExpress shopping fling started.

Well, at first I thought this was a pleated dress but it was flat. I think the pattern creates the illusion of pleats. It’s quite beautiful and the colors are vibrant. The pattern is exactly as you see in the photo.
I ordered Small and I’m 5.3″. It fit perfectly but the elastic waist sat high and my reco is to get a bigger size if you’re taller than 5.5″.

If you like satin, you’ll appreciate the feel of this set. I love wearing it but wish it had pockets and buttons on the shirt. It’s kimono style so no button and you have to adjust the belt frequently. But hey, it was less than $17.
