A few weeks ago, I attended a Holiday Beauty Mingle event at a nearby Shoppers, Canada’s leading drug mart retailer. At the event, I got to discover new beauty products and received a makeup application by a beauty consultant for only $10, out of which, $5 went towards a women’s health charity. I didn’t know that I was going to fall in love with this makeup foundation by Dior, called Dior Airflash Spray Foundation.
What’s so special about Dior Airflash Spray makeup foundation?
Non-smudge
The first thing that truly impressed me about this makeup foundation is the lightweight formula that doesn’t leave any residue on the skin. It is so light that even I couldn’t see traces of foundation on my face.
Velvety feeling
Secondly, the Dior Airflash Spray makeup foundation is water-based which means it doesn’t leave the skin oily after an hour or two. The texture of the product is velvety and sits well on the skin with the ability to last about 12 hours.
Even skin
Lastly, Dior Airflash Spray makeup foundation gives full coverage without the need to re-apply or cake the face. And the foundation doesn’t dry the skin or cause any irritation; something I am always concerned about.
How to apply Dior Airflash Spray makeup foundation?
Dior and Sephora recommend holding the bottle 8 inches away from your face and spray in Z formation. However, I have been spraying the foundation on a brush and patting it on my face. See the video demonstration for details. (PS: I make the mistake of using my phone camera which didn’t turn out as good as it seemed like on the phone. But I hope you are able to spot the difference).
When to use Dior Airflash Spray?
This Dior foundation is pricy compared to most similar products. But it does work perfectly for mature skin and has an amazing natural finish. In terms of how often to use it depends on your personal lifestyle and beauty budget. I do think it’s worth buying to use it at special events or while traveling. It’s easy and fast to apply, and it gives a flawless look without smudging the face.

Because it’s a pricy foundation, I recommend buying it from a retailer that offers points or promotional discounts like Sephora or Nordstrom. At least you can save some Dineros on your order!
